Good intro to this podcast, you covered a lot of things very quickly! Surprisingly not one sung note though, I request you channel the inner artist for an intro and an outro for these! I live in Saskatchewan, so basically take your childhood, and dip it into even more conservative religious conditioning one had to break out of! 20's was also about the time I came out - though i was born in 1990, so I'm a bit older, but none-the-less very relatable story.

You believe astrologers and all kinds of things that you dont know if they are real and true (what is the evidence that its the Truth?). JESUS said "seek the truth and the truth will set you free" . GOD is the way He describes/reveals Himself, not the way we CHOOSE to believe in our heads. We can see His creative work in His creation/universe. He gave us His written word/letter to us/Bible- there is no Book like it, but you must read and study it (it contains fulfilled prophecy, scientific facts before they were discovered , real history, medical facts, psychology etc). We're on this earth to find the Truth and the true God, to have relationship with Him, so that we can be in His family and be in His house/heaven one day. He loves us, but He also wants us to find him and love Him. I love you as my "brother", that's why I'm writing this to encourage you to seek the truth while you can ( because the truth can be found and known). ❤

Lots of people say they can sing, but you really can sing. What are the most important Canadian songs of the last 100 years? Maybe that can be a podcast. The ones we all know include Neil Young songs, Joni Mitchell songs, the couple who sang Four Strong Winds, Gordon Lightfoot songs, Snowbird and Save the Last Dance singer dot dot dot Drake. Oh wait, Rufus W , Richard Thompson, the McGarrigles... I think it is pretty cool to see very old footage of Canadian TV shows showing, like, very young Joni Mitchell--would never have known that if not for youtube. It doesn't seem like contemporary Canadian singers care or know much about the Canadian folk tradition. Are there legendary jazz musicians from Canada? I don't know.
